Rack PDU ( Power Distribution Unit) is a device for supplying electrical power to the different devices installed in a Networking or Server Rack. The most basic PDUs are horizontal or vertical power strips without surge protection. They are designed to provide standard electrical outlets for networking or data center equipments and have no monitoring or remote access capabilities. they usually have 6 or 12 power sockets Indian or Universal 5-15A , with Fuse & MCB for short circuit protection.
